Rain of stars 2024 in Fuerteventura: when and where to see it
The rain of stars are meteorological phenomena that occur at regular intervals and make it possible to see incredible spectacles from Earth.
Fuerteventura is one of those magical places from which you can admire the stars without too many artificial lights disturbing the natural night vision.
Secluded beaches, panoramic spots where the sky offer the opportunity to observe undisturbed spectacles such as meteor showers or star showers.
But when will we be able to admire all this in 2024?
When to see the rain of stars in Fuerteventura
Lyrids
- April 16-25
- Best day: April 22
- 20 meteors per hour or more
?-Aquarids:
- April – May 18
- Best day: May 5 around 11 pm
- 50 meteors per hour
- The best places to see this meteor shower are the Canary Islands and the tropics.
Perseids:
- 12.-13August
- 100 meteors per hour
- The August meteor shower is perhaps the most popular, also known as the Tears of San Lorenzo
The rain of stars from October to December coincides with the full moon this year and will hardly be visible.
Where to observe the rain of stars
Fuerteventura boasts some spectacular Miradores dedicated to observing the stars from which you can certainly admire the spectacle of the Lyrids in the days when the meteors pass.
Alternatively there are many uncrowded beaches or places with too much artificial light where you can admire the rain of stars in peace.
