The Municipality of Puerto del Rosario, through the Beaches Department, will proceed to carry out sand screening and cleaning works on the beaches of Los Pozos and Playa Blanca on 22 and 23 September starting from 7.00 pm, when the beaches will remain closed until the morning.
The objective of this work is to keep the sand clean and in better conditions for the visitors of the two main seaside areas of the capital This is one of the main reasons why sand screening will be done at night.
The mayor of the capital, David de Vera, explained that “once the works are finished, bathers will be able to use the two beaches normally, being able to enjoy cleaner sand and without annoying waste”.
The Councilor for Beaches, Toñi Fdez. Aragón, explained that “this screening is part of the actions planned for the beach area in order to improve the quality and cleanliness of the same, so that the inhabitants of Fuerteventura and tourists can enjoy the city beaches to the fullest.
