III Contemporary Canary Islands music Festival 2023
The Contemporary music Festival reaches its third edition this year with a strong commitment to current musical creation. In addition to preparing a vast program of concerts, the Festival is responsible for organizing a large national meeting that will bring the main exponents of the sector to the Canary Islands to debate the current state of contemporary music in Spain.
There will be 17 concerts by 7 international, national and Canarian groups and 52 works will be performed, of which 12 by island authors, of which almost half are world premieres.
This year the Contemporary festival will visit the Canary Islands with concerts in La Palma, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, as well as Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
The Contemporary music Festival will be in Fuerteventura on September 29th at the Auditorium de Antigua with the show/concert entitled “Ensemble Difracción & CSMC“
DifrAcción Ensemble was born as a need to respond to the approach to music that is not part of the regular programming of auditoriums, groups and usual circuits: the contemporary academic music of the 21st century.
In particular, his focus is on current and glocal composition and premiere interpretation, highlighting his work in disseminating the sound art of the archipelago and Latin America.
