What to do in Fuerteventura?
There really are so many things to do on Fuerteventura.
So many that every time I come back I feel like it’s the first time and it would take me 2 or 3 months to get everything done!
First of all, Fuerteventura is a protected biosphere reserve where you can discover all the beauty of the island’s wild nature.
You can choose the type of trip you want, but you definitely can not miss out on the beauty of the island because there is so much of it.
And then.
Fuerteventura is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts.
You can decide to come to Fuerteventura to improve your sporting skills or even just take a surfing course to have fun and meet new people, even if you are just a beginner and have never tried it before.
Eat well
In Fuerteventura you eat well and you have to try the local cuisine, without forgetting the many local markets with artisan products.
Last year, for example, I was lucky enough to discover queso majorero (a boy from Puerto del Rosario on a surfing course advised me to try it).
So I looked for a dish in the hotel restaurant that contained this typical cheese, and I found it in a supermarket in El Cotillo.
The Antigua area also has its own museum.
Try it for yourself!
Events
There are new events in Fuerteventura all year round.
You can find some of them on our dedicated page, but I am sure there are many more for you to discover once you have arrived.
The carnival is perhaps the most important event, but if I were you, I would also visit the kite festival (cometas in Spanish), which takes place in November in the dunes of the Corralejo Natural Park.
Then there are countless concerts and much more, such as the world championships in kitesurfing and windsurfing at Playa de Sotavento in July.
Culture and monuments
There are many sights to visit on Fuerteventura.
From historic windmills and lighthouses to nature parks and unique villages.
There is something for everyone!
To relax
Don’t you like all this?
You can do like the goat on the cover and lie in the sand all day and do nothing.
Fuerteventura offers so many places where you can find peace and relaxation away from everything and everyone.
Whether you are looking for the sea, the sun, the sand, a wonderful corner or want to do as the goats do on the island, the most important thing is that you enjoy your trip.
…it’s also nice to relax a little…
