Carnivals ’25: previews of the islands’ capitals
Carnival ’25 is already taking shape in the two capitals of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
We are already in the middle of summer, but there are already those who are thinking about next winter and the 2025 carnival events.
Puerto del Rosario
Puerto del Rosario was the first to organize a canonical survey among its citizens to determine the theme of Carnival 2025.
Among the three themes that were voted on were:
- Toys and the animated world
- Jungle of the world
- Artificial intelligence and the future
At the end of March (deadline for voting), the theme of toys and the animated world prevailed with 51% of the votes.
This will therefore be the symbol of Puerto del Rosario for Carnival 2025.
For this reason, prepare the appropriate costumes next February!
Arrecife
The poll for the emblem of the Carnival ’25 of the capital of Lanzarote came a few months later.
Between June 5 and 14, the citizens of Arrecife chose the allegory of the year 2025 from 8 themes:
- The wonderful and magical world of Disney
- Ancient civilizations
- Adventures
- A fairytale fairground
- World traveler
- The world of the Murgue
- A carnival in ancient Rome
- Chicago gangsters 1930s
Finally, the wonderful magical world of Disney came out on top with 22% of the vote.
If you are preparing for the 2025 Lanzarote Carnival, please take suitable costumes with you! In fact, we have warned you in advance!
