As far as we can, we will try to update as many Fuerteventura events as possible. It’s already nice to visit this divine island, but being able to participate in some unique event is certainly a nice opportunity to learn something more, take beautiful photos, meet new people or, perhaps, entertain the children even more
If you want to tell us something more, you can write to our email, we will be happy to add
September- October 2023

Last Monday, the poster and program of the celebrations in honor of the Nuestra Señora del Rosario 2023 were officially presented, organized by the Department of Celebrations in coordination with various areas of the capital municipality.
The events will begin this Thursday, September 21st, and will continue until October 9th, coinciding as per tradition with the start of the celebrations in honor of Our Lady of the Pine of Puerto Lajas.
In this edition of the celebrations, the program includes various activities designed for the whole family, including the music of Café Quijano or Caco Senante’s tribute to Pablo. Humor will also be very present with the performances of Daniel Calero and Kike Pérez.
Sport will once again have a special role. Among the most important events are the 40th anniversary of the Ramón Castañeyra Góngora Basketball Memorial, the XV Travesía Sol y Luna, as well as Canarian football, chess or pelota tournaments.

List of festivities of the patron saints of the Fuerteventura municipalities
La Oliva
- July 16: The Virgen del Carmen, patroness of sailors, celebrates her big day in Corralejo. The sailors carry the Virgin through the Casco Viejo, gathering a multitude of people at the small pier, where the fishermen’s homage to their patron saint begins, received by boats and “falúas” decorated like the rest of the city.
- July 18: Today the Nocturnal Procession takes place which ends at Muelle Chico with a picturesque scene, caused by torches and fireworks.
- August: The Virgen del Buen Viaje, in El Cotillo, is the other appointment marked in the calendar for its splendor and devotion to the seafaring families of this small enclave of the municipality. The virgin of her is carried by the fishermen through the village to the pier where the sailors were waiting for her to start the maritime procession.
